Anti-Pollution Animal Toys

'Pollutoys' are Animal Toys for Kids That Teach About Plastic Pollution

There are hundreds of thousands of animal toys for kids on the market, but Pollutoys are a new eight-piece plush toy collection from Sea Shepherd that aims to teach young kids about plastic pollution.

The toys include dolphins, whales, turtles and other sea creatures that commonly ingest plastic. As such, each of the plush toys feature bellies full of trash such as bottles, plastic bags, soda cups, straws and other items that genuinely end up threatening the lives of animals.

As Sea Shepherd states: "nine million tons of plastic ends up in the ocean every year, killing one million seabirds and 100,000 marine animals." If action is not taken to educate the next generation, it is expected that there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish as early as the year 2050.
