Child-Friendly Medication Packaging

The 'Animal Ringer' Brightens Up Hospital Rooms

The conceptual 'Animal Ringer' has been designed as a packaging for hospitals that could help to make the environment less intimidating for young children to ensure they feel more comfortable.

The packaging comes in three variations that includes a polar bear, a baby chick and a penguin, which are all intended for different kinds of medications. This helps to brighten up a hospital room and make it more inviting for children who are spending time there for treatment.

The conceptual 'Animal Ringer' is the design work of Yun Ye Lee, Ji Hoon Park and Cha Il Lim, and is one of the winners of the 2018 Asia Design Prize. The design also makes it more intuitive for healthcare providers to pinpoint the right medication for patients thanks to the animalistic aesthetic.
