The AMMA Studio Collection is Made Out of Coffee Grounds and Salt

The AMMA Studio Collection looks more like works of art than pieces of furniture. They are even made out of artsy materials rather than the typical wood, concrete or metal industrial designers tend to use. Instead, they are fashioned out of coffee grounds and salt as though in commentary of some contemporary cause.

Designed by Fernando Mastrangelo and Samuel Amoia, an artist based in Brooklyn, New York, the AMMA Studio Collection is meant to show that "sculpture and furniture have a symbiotic relationship," as written on Mastrongelo's website. It is made up of cylindrical and free-form end tables that are all very organic and minimalist. The textures and coloring is what really makes them stand out.
