The look and feel of the American banknotes hasn't changed much over the years, so designer Audrey Avgust has taken artistic liberties in creating a new approach to the United States currency.
The banknotes are crafted from a series of flexible layers made from polymer, which enable the currency to withstand accidental destruction as well as from becoming wet when encountering moisture. This enables the bills to be inherently durable for extended use, while the PGP encrypted QR code along with metameric inks that's used to individually print serial numbers ensures authenticity.
The conceptual American banknotes are emblazoned with crisp imagery of past American presidents and other quintessential imagery from the country to make them easily recognizable by persons domestically and internationally.
