The Largest Amazon Campus Was Recently Opened in Hyderabad India

The world's largest Amazon campus has recently opened in Hyderabad, India. The new Amazon campus takes up 9.5 acres and has 1.8 million square feet of office space. Due to the immense size, over 15,000 employees work at the Hyderabad location. Approximately one-third of all Indian Amazon employees are located in the city, and the company has already placed 4,500 employees into the new Amazon campus.

The location is the only campus that is owned by Amazon not located in the United States. This indicates Amazon's desire to grow inside Indian markets. Amazon initially entered India in 2004, however it did not start retail operations until 2013. Amazon has seen a doubling of its Prime members in India over the span of 18 months.
