California Could Be Powered Completely by Geothermal Energy

After years of dealing with brownouts and being at the mercy of other states for electricity, California may finally have a way out. While a lot of attention has been given to the new solar power plants being built in California, many scientists have been trying to point California a different direction. Instead of spending billions of dollars creating high tech solar plants, these scientists want to take advantage of California’s abundant geothermal energy supply. Thanks to a correction of a previous government oversight, California now has access to enough geothermal energy to power the entire state. To think California will finally be energy independent.
