The Alpina Seastrong Gyre Watch Has an Eco-Conscious Design

The Alpina Seastrong Gyre automatic watch is a new accessory created in collaboration between the Swiss watchmaker and the Dutch brand Gyre as an eco-conscious timepiece that's stylish yet sustainable.

The watch features a 44mm case that's crafted using 70% recycled ocean plastic that has been sourced from ghost fishing nets found floating in the Indian Ocean. The remainder of the case is made with fiberglass to further enhance its resilience, while the NATO strap on the timepiece is even made from recycled ocean plastic for a stronger attention to sustainability.

The Alpina Seastrong Gyre automatic watch is priced at $1,395 and features a dive-ready design that is rated for 300 meter depths along with a 38 hour power reserve to keep it running between wears.
