Heat-Sensitive Fashion

This Alexander Wang Fall Runway Incorporated Large Heat Vents

One of the most hard-to-miss elements of the 2014 Alexander Wang Fall fashion show were the large vents that took center stage for the designer's first show in Brooklyn. Alike the tall metal pillars, many of the looks that walked down the runway first were uniform, gray and even a little bit boxy. Throughout the presentation of the Fall collection, pops of color started to appear, showing off refreshingly vibrant groupings of neon pinks, greens and blues.

It wasn't until the end of the fashion show that the true purpose of the heat vents was revealed, where Wang showed off some impressive high-tech fabrics that changed colors in response to heat as models walked past the metallic vents.
