Alexander McGee Designs a New Wooden Cabin in Cape Town

Architect Alexander McGee designs a new tiny wooden cabin that is found along the bottom of a rocky hillside. It is surrounded by buchus and trees and overlooks Muizenberg, which is known to be one of the best surfing spots in Cape Town. The space measures 390 square feet and the view can be enjoyed with the window seats that have been added to the space.

Additionally, the roof has also been topped with solar panels to provide the home with power sustainably. McGee talks about the home and its surroundings, noting "We’re spoiled in South Africa with some of the most naturally beautiful sites found anywhere in the world. As an architect, I view it as my responsibility to demonstrate an alternate solution to settling in these environments."
