Re-Creating Book Covers

Alex Holder Created a Series of Self-Portraits Inspired by Romance Novels

Artist Alex Holder has created a series of stunning self-portraits with her boyfriend Ross to pay homage to the old-school romance novel publisher Mills Boon. Alex Holder is able to recreate the illustrations perfectly, right down to the hair and outfits. I think that it is a really fun and creative idea that could have endless possibilities. Alex Holder’s art was recently put on display at the Russian Club Gallery in London. I hope to see more of her interesting recreations in the future!

Alex Holder came up with the idea for launch of The W Project, which "celebrates women working across the creative industries." The W Project claims that it aims "to promote empowering role-models and help build a better creative community for the future."
