Seattle-Tacoma International Airport's Robot Delivers Food to Gates

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is introducing airport robots to help with picking up and delivering food orders straight to different gates. Now that the airport's OrderSEA mobile ordering system has been implemented, the robot is helping travelers to easily receive the orders they make after passing through security.

Now that travel looks different, this option is a safe and convenient touch-free alternative to traditional payment options, and it helps travelers place meal orders from their own digital devices. Additionally, the experience has the potential to take some of the stress out of traveling, since customers will be able to avoid long lines.

The robot has the ability to carry up to 40 pounds of food and it makes deliveries for a $2.99 fee within the airport.
