'Leo' is an Autonomous Bot That Cares for the Geneva Airport's Luggage

The loads that passengers have to transport around at the Geneva Airport just became a little lighter thanks to an innovative new airport robot from SITA named 'Leo.'

The autonomous robot is capable of doing everything from checking in passengers to printing their baggage tags and transporting up to two suitcases (up to a maximum weight of 32 kilograms.) While getting around the airport, the SITA robot also has the ability to navigate around high-traffic areas. Once the bags are collected by Leo, they are taken directly to the baggage handling areas to be sorted into the right flight.

As well as simplifying tasks for airport employees and travelers, Leo creates more room in the Geneva Airport, since fewer large baggage carts will need to be transported through the terminals.
