KLM Converted An Aircraft Into a Luxury Apartment

Airplane apartments may become a thing if KLM has its way. The venerable Dutch airline transformed a grounded McDonnell Douglas MD-11 aircraft into a luxurious living space appropriately dubbed 'Airplane Apartment.' Now, you can spend days and nights on end in an airplane without suffering from red eye and dealing with turbulence, not to mention questionable airplane food.

The retired aircraft chartered over 3,000 flights and is located next to Amsterdam's Schiphol airport. It has been converted into a vintage-style apartment with an open concept lounge, study room, master bedroom, second bedroom, two kitchens, eight tiny bathrooms and 116 windows.

The Airplane Apartment comes with free WiFi, a coffee maker, stocked library and a panoramic cockpit. It is being featured on Airbnb.
