Airline Trolley Closets

This Closet Uses an Airline Trolley as Its Inspiration

Designed by Christiaan Bakker and Studio Knol, this airline trolley-inspired closet was created in collaboration with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

Given the ability planes have to compact a mass of items into small compartments, using the model of an airline trolley to pack clothes away is a recipe for success. The 'Trolleys Closet' recreates the cart by incorporating its small wheels, various hidden compartments, retractable surfaces and simplistic exterior. The closet was created with the urban dweller in mind, with Christiaan Bakker and Studio Knol well aware of the need for more storage in a limited space.

Although the closet was primarily made to store clothing, its versatility coupled with its portability make it great for different rooms and purposes.Photo Credits: designboom, christiaanbakker
