In a great Air New Zealand Hobbit co-campaign, the arliner had one of it's planes painted with the full-body design of Smaug the Dragon, who will make his first full on-screen appearance this month in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug".
Snaking across one full side of the plane, the menacing looking dragon will advertising the New Zealand filmed Hollywood pictures to the masses around the World as it flies its passengers from airport to airport. This advertising camaing will also give fans an opportunity to see just what the villainous dragon will look like on screen, as his appearances in the trailers and TV spots for the movie range from minimal to non-existent.
This Air New Zealand Hobbit co-campaign will not only attract viewers to the film, but attract potential tourists who want to tour the film's locations, something, which has already rpoven extremely lucrative for the country.
