Ocean Partners with Admix to Offer Clients Metaverse Billboard Advertising

Ocean Outdoor, a leading Out of Home (OOH) advertising company, has partnered with in-play advertising firm Admix to launch a platform that will allow its brand clients to advertise on digital billboards in video games and the metaverse.

The move will even allow brands to purchase billboard spaces in the physical and virtual world simultaneously. For its first foray into the metaverse, Ocean will offer three custom Digital Out of Home (DOOH) locations that will be similar in size and style to its real-life city center UK assets. These will include a tri-screen roadside location, a giant full-motion curve screen, and the 'Loop' city center full-motion network.

"Just imagine you are walking along a road or in a shopping center, and you see billboards advertising Coca-Cola, then when you are gaming, your avatar is walking down a virtual road, and it would show the same copy," explained Phil Hall, the joint managing director at Ocean Outdoor.
