Adam Cornish Creates a Furniture Collection Inspired by Tailored Apparel

Australian designer Adam Cornish designs his first collection of furniture for Australian manufacturer label Tait. The line of furnishings are constructed from aluminum that he acquired using a special process based on tailoring, described by Cornish as something similar to the way a piece of fabric is tailored into a form-fitted garment. Although the materials are vastly different, the tailoring process used for the construction delivers similar results, which are clean lines, fluid shapes and refined details.

Adam Cornish's furniture collection of chairs and tables are created to be suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings. It is comprised of a dining chair, bar stool, stacking chair, dining table, cafe table, and bar table. The color palette boasts earthy hues that recall the coastlines and terrains of Australia -- including tones such as 'Deep Ocean,' 'Paperbark,' 'Ochre,' 'Pale Eucalypt,' and 'Woodland Grey.' The collection is constructed from stainless steel and modified timber as well as aluminum, which are all chosen uniquely for its sustainability and can all be fully recycled.
