The project We Are Lucky was born out of an unrested soul and an unaccomplished space trip to become a true random act kindness. A South African anonymous got an extreme amount of money and decided to make a space trip. Influenced by his friends and after some thought decided to take a more altruist path and canceled the trip. What next? After some considerations on how to make an impact with the amount he would spend on that trip (about $ 400.000 dolars) in an thoughtful way the project We Are Lucky was born.
The concept: to give every day about $ 1000 to a complete stranger as long as it is used for a good cause. The donner says in his website: People naturally assume there's a catch but there are no conditions or obligations other than to do 'good' with the money. I think it's important that the definition of that remains entirely subjective..
The website We Are Lucky tells the story of all the people that aleatory were selected to be part of this project creating a community of positivity and happy-ending stories.
Implications - An act of generosity that surpasses itself. It not only benefits directly the beneficiary but through the website it gives visibility to charity and community projects as well as gives true testimonies of faith and positivity.
