Its newest pieces play on the themes of naivety and ingenuity in the heart of modern-day cynicism. To be playful and child-like can make a political statement, exuding the urge of spontaneous acts. This was the idea that designer Johnny Johansson played upon when designing this collection. Aiming to give off the sense of optimism and youth, Johansson used prints on his garments that were directly crafted my elementary school students.
The silhouettes designed were the perfect balance of simplicity and boldness that were slightly abstract. The whole Acne Studios 2018 series was presented in a format that was speedy, effective and true to the overarching playful theme as well.
