Abaculux is a Modular Light Solution Designed for Creativity

Abaculux is inspired by the abacus, an ancient counting tool used for centuries prior to society's adoption of the Arabic numeral system. Modular by design, the light fixture allows users to add and subtract as many light bulbs as desired to achieve the perfect light setting.

Designed by Pranjal Uday, this light is designed for play and creativity yet remains elegant due to its elongated form. The minimalist fixture rises as a single standing rod. It comes with a collection of removable light bulbs to provide the user with plenty of lighting options. Complete with a flared trumpet base, the Abaculux is bottom-heavy and sits on its trumpet base. Uday's design visually depicts energy consumption, creating a sense of self-awareness.
