Farmer-Supporting Short Films

Chipotle & Observatory Launch the Short Film 'A Future Begins'

In honor of the anniversary of Chipotle’s groundbreaking work featuring Willie Nelson covering Coldplay’s 'The Scientist,' the brand is once again joining forces with Observatory and Nexus Studio with the launch of a new stop-animation tale dubbed 'A Future Begins.'

A Future Begins is set to another Coldplay classic, 'Fix You,' reimaged by Kacey Musgraves. The short film depicts the struggles of family farms competing with industrialized farming. The stop-animation shows "a farmer getting older and a once-thriving family farm collapse… only to be rebuilt stronger and more sustainably than ever by the next generation who returns to the farm with technology and community on their side."

The film will premiere digitally on November 16 and on broadcast TV Thanksgiving Day in its own commercial pod during the NFL’s Raiders versus Cowboys game on CBS.
