Trailblazing 3D-Printed Cameras

The SLO Camera is the World's First Completely 3D-Printed Camera

Young and upcoming designer Amos Dudley has managed to create the world's first completely 3D-printed camera, dubbed the SLO or Single Lens Objective camera. While there are certainly other cameras out there that features 3D-printed components, what sets the SLO camera apart is the fact that that even such parts as the lens and the shutter were completely 3D-printed.

3D-printing enthusiasts and DIY camera-making enthusiasts will be able to access the 3D-printing files for the SLO camera on the Pinshape website. Users who print out their own SLO camera will only need to print a single spherical lens.

Since this is such an unprecedented and trailblazing contraption, the fact of the matter is that the quality of photos isn't the absolute greatest, although it does offer a visual aesthetic of its own.
