L'Oréal acquired a majority stake in Innovist, an Indian personal care and beauty platform, expanding its presence in one of the world's fastest-growing beauty markets. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 2019, Innovist has built a portfolio of science-led brands, including Bare Anatomy, SunScoop and Chemist at Play, supported by integrated research and development and in-house manufacturing capabilities.
Under the agreement, Innovist's founding team will retain a minority stake and continue to lead the business in partnership with L'Oréal India, with L'Oréal also securing the option to acquire the remaining shares in the future.
For consumers, the acquisition strengthens L'Oréal's ability to deliver products tailored to Indian preferences while supporting the continued growth of local beauty brands. The move reflects the broader trend of global beauty companies partnering with established regional players to deepen market relevance.
