The Berlin-based artist Deenesh Ghyczy has pioneered a fragmented, double-take-worthy approach to illustration. Her pieces are multilayered, displaying two, three or four interpretations of the same pose. These interpretations evoke images of movement and emotion in viewers via paintings of children and dancing women.
Ghyczy's work is rooted in her appreciation of multiple identities, or rather of individuals who act as "...living structures with more than one center." This is readily apparent in her morphed pieces that feature several splices of each subject.
