Savers Has Rolled Out ThriftIq AI-Powered Pricing Platform

Savers Value Village introduced ThriftIQ, an AI-powered pricing platform now used across dozens of its thrift stores. The system combines brand identification with seasonality and sell-through data, replacing a more subjective process in which employees assessed garment condition and quality before assigning prices.

ThriftIQ is currently live in 58 stores across the U.S. and Canada and was developed with Kaizen Analytix using Savers’ proprietary datasets. The company said pilot locations generated stronger sales yields, higher unit sell-through and gross profit growth while maintaining average prices at or below the rest of its store fleet. Once an item is priced and tagged, that price does not change.

For shoppers, the system is designed to create more consistent secondhand pricing while supporting faster inventory turnover. The rollout reflects growing retailer interest in AI-assisted pricing that standardizes decisions without relying on dynamic or surveillance-based price changes.
