Amsterdam-based brand Welter Shelter's Spring/Summer 2018 lineup is comprised of 60s- and 70s-inspired outerwear silhouettes that are a fashionable interpretation of the Land Art movement—also referred to as Earth Art or Environmental Art, it is a style that protests plastic aesthetics by using natural materials.
Much like the movement, Welter Shelter focuses on an earthy ambiance. The 70s-inspired outerwear pays strong attention to versatility, functionality and breathability. The silhouettes are highly weather-adaptable, as the fabrics are waterproof and windproof. The Spring/Summer 2018 collection also features waxed-coated cotton that adds to the intended earthy appearance, as well as a special climate control program that responds with regard to the external environment.
