Folded Metal Fixtures

The 60 Pendant Flaunts the Sharp Angles Made by Crisply Creased Steel

Your first glance at the 60 Pendant Lamp might have you wondering whether the light fixture has been carefully crafted of cardboard or paper. This assumption is understandable since it's very fine sheets of steel that were used to put the pieces together, in a manner that's similar to the practice of origami.

Designer Jonathan Sabine formed hexagonal pyramids with the plated metal material, creating sharp geometric hanging lights. These effectively direct bright rays down and outwards, reflecting off of the insides of the opaque panels.

To diffuse the intensity of the 60 Pendant Lamp, a six-sided component was worked into the bottom. This is perforated over its entire surface to soften the luminescence into a bunch of tiny beams.
