Fashionable Food Illustrations

The CJ Hendry 50 Foods in 50 Days Drawings Depict Meals and Labels

The 50 Foods in 50 Days etched series has been published by artist CJ Hendry. The illustrated series is inspired by the last meal consumed by death row inmates, hence this collection's depiction of different dishes.

Encasing each one of these dishes are faux Hermes plates. Since these drawings represent the final moments of prisoner's lives, Hendry believes that the cutlery should be as opulent as possible.

The sausage links, asparagus and tomatoes shown in 50 Foods in 50 days are extremely lifelike. Many of the sketches appear three-dimensional, popping out of the pictures by way of black and white shading. For those familiar with Hermes logos, the designs are equally standalone as the links and patterns appear raised on the paper.
