Tree-Covered Apartments

25 Verde is a Refreshing Mini-Forest in the City of Turin, Italy

There has been a lot of talk about vertical gardens, but 25 Verde is an apartment building that introduces a slightly different tactic to eco-friendly exteriors. Instead of focusing on plants, 25 Verde incorporates trees. 150 trees, to be exact. This essentially turns a city block in Turin, Italy, into a mini-forest.

Designed by Luciano Pia, 25 Verde is a green oasis. In addition to practical reasons as to why such an apartment complex is helpful, he states, "If the trees are integrated in the building, they are closer to the people who live there, and so there is more integration between man and nature." 25 Verde shows the world there are many ways to incorporate nature urban settings. Pollution is something residents around the world would like to combat and 25 Verde outlines an innovative way.
