The 2014 Art of the Book Exhibit is Diversely Imaginative

The 2014 Art of the Book exhibit is chock full of intriguing sculptures made out of a variety of novels. The ninth instalment of the show, that is saying much. Artists didn't hold back when it came to creativity and imagination. For instance, one designed a pair of platform shoes using the pages of an old book while another managed to create an intricate set of chess pieces.

Currently on view at the the Seager Gray Gallery in Mill Valley, California, the 2014 Art of the Book exhibit showcases the work of 25 artists in total including South African artist Barbara Wildenboer, Renee Billinsglea and Arian Dylan. As the death of print looms ever higher and darker, exhibits such as these show that book arts are flourishing.
