The Animalistic Shoes of 2010 New York Fashion Week

While this may anger PETA, fur continued to be a common theme at the Fall shows for 2010 New York Fashion Week, especially fur for the feet. Designers Halston, Reed Krakoff, Micheal Kors, Ralph Lauren, J. Mendel, Zac Posen and Phillip Lim all adorned their shoes and boots lovingly with fuzzy material.

Strappy sandals, classic boots, stiletto boots, pumps and even a pair of shoes for men have all been creatively decorated with the soft stuff to enhance their look. As footwear wouldn’t need so much fur in comparison to coats, maybe that alone will appease animal lovers?
