Louis Vuitton Unveils 200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries Exhibition

Louis Vuitton made its original launch of its luggage designs back in 1854, and it grew largely -- now, to mark the legacy, the house launches the 200 Trunks, 200 Visionaries art exhibition taking place in Los Angeles. The new show is a traveling installation, which made its original launch last year right outside Paris.

Now it takes up the space at the house's menswear store in Los Angeles. Participants are able to create a metaphorical blank canvas that measures out to be the same dimension as the original trunk. The house's Visual Image Director Faye McLeod states, "This project has always been about creativity – a real tribute to Louis’s ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit. We get to see how such a cross-section of talents answered the same brief while also taking a moment to appreciate the man himself."
