Relationship-Based Distribution Companies

100km Foods Inc. Offers Local Goods in a Dynamic Way

100km Foods Inc. has a common story. Back in 2007, Paul Sawtell and Grace Mandarano, who are now the founders and owners of the social business, quit their jobs to travel around Asia for a bit over six month and when they returned, the seed was planted for the beginning of the project.

In Ontario, Canada, they noticed a gap in distribution channels while the demand for local and sustainable food was there. 100km Foods Inc. is now a certified B Corporation and received their certification not too long ago, in December 2012. They received 109 points out of 200 with community being their highest achievement at a company score of 44 where the average is usually coming in at about 32.
