Marco Tempest is a Swiss-born, New York City-based magician/performance artist best known for his integration of multimedia tools into his act. Tempest also refers to himself as a "technoillusionist," based on his use of augmented reality technology to create amazing illusions with which he can interact, projected onto a large board for his audience.
In this fascinating and highly entertaining talk, Marco Tempest demonstrates some of his illusions by interacting with them on stage as he highlights the merits of magic, what exactly it is and how it engages us. As Marco Tempest explains, magic tricks work like jokes, taking us on an expected path and fooling the audience by changing the destination, twisting the story but maintaining the sequence and the tricks' understandability.
