Minimalist Wireframe Lamps

The Zoom Lamp's Design is Inspired By Virtual Reality Graphics

The Zoom lamp is an ingenious wire frame lamp designed by Italian industrial designer Davide Aquini. The lamp's design is inspired by the visual cues associated with the world of virtual reality.

The lamp has a three-dimensional look that is the result of its minimalist wire frame design. Its light source is surrounded by vertically stacked, rectangle-shaped black wire frames that grow taller and taller around the light source. The lamp can be positioned vertically or horizontally to provide sophisticated lighting complete with contoured shadow lines.

Aquini spared no detail in the development of the Zoom lamp. A great deal of thought went into every aspect of design, including even the selection of the light source and bulb. The lamp uses an LED light that bears the shape of a classic, old-school incandescent bulb. Photo Credits: designboom, ad-g.it
