Zoe Williams uses felted wool material to create exotic and oftentimes fantastical taxidermy artwork that would be nigh impossible to fashion if she had to shoot the actual animals in real life. Zoe Williams doesn't stick the typical deer or bear head on a rack. Instead, she focuses on creatures such as starfish, rhinoceroses and cranes.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Zoe Williams left for New York City after hurricane Katrina devastated the city back in 2005. Her crafty works of art have been displayed in various venues around the United States including Gallery Hanahou in New York, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in New Orleans and the Museum of Death in Los Angeles. Zoe Williams' work explores the significance of dreams and symbols.
