The Zero Pod may look like a camper, but it is a fully functional albeit small house. Completely portable, the parts can all fit into a minivan easily and the entire structure can be erected in no more than half a day. Assembled on a flat surface, steep slope or transported elsewhere, the Zero Pod can even be used as a houseboat.
Conceived and created by DCW, a design company based in Japan, the Zero Pod is height-adjustable and is made up of 40 different components, the largest of which is 1800mm long. Standing on two legs that resemble a pair of skis, the Zero Pod requires no foundation. It is capable of accommodating up to three people at once and is comprised of a sink, sofa bed, terrace, awning, storage and fold-down bed.
