YY Nation Launches Its Most Sustainable Sneaker Yet, the 'Nimbo'

Emerging sustainable shoe label YY Nation will officially be launching in the United States with its all-new planet-friendly sneaker capsule called the 'Legacy Footwear Collection.'

Without a doubt, the collection's standout piece is the 'Nimbo' shoe, a unique sneaker model that is made from a combination of algae and bamboo. According to the company, this one-of-a-kind sneaker required three years of intensive research to develop; and, as a result, it is the footwear industry's most sustainable sneaker to date. For example, the 'Nimbo' requires three times fewer carbon emissions to create when compared to a traditional shoe made by a major brand.

"We are on a journey to make the world’s most sustainable shoes... With today’s launch, YY Nation is committing to a carbon-negative future that combines rigorous sustainability standards with incredible design and comfort," said YY Nation founding director Jeremy Bank.
