I'm not sure what's going on in the mind of Yumi Nakata, but these paintings are dynamite, both in their illustrations and concept.
The bizarre but beautiful set of paintings shows bow-tied girls' heads detonated in a frenzied explosion. An outburst of vibrant color-charged spills ooze from these heads in a very hot mess. These psychedelic hotheads are fuming with a rainbow rage that is captivating and fun to behold. If my head were to explode, I can only hope that it would burst into a candy-colored wreckage too.
Artist Yumi Nakata currently studies in Kyoto and has already completed a textile design course. Her pop-inspired artwork is very original and clearly expresses her strong mental world of the abstract.
