The Yulia Gorbachenko 'True Colors' Editorial is Punchy and Bright

There is a plethora of brightly colored fashion out there these days, but the Yulia Gorbachenko 'True Colors' editorial takes high-contrast chromatic photography to the next level.

The series was shot to commemorate Z!NK magazine's 10th Anniversary issue. As to be expected, Gorbachenko and her assistant Natthapol Jaturapanu did an excellent job. Stylist Emily Bess deserves much credit for her work adorning model Jae Brickman with elegant couture. Similarly, Anastasia Durasova, the makeup artist, must be praised for her colorful creations. Last but not least, manicurist Casandra Lamar and retoucher Lulie Talmor deserve credit.

It would be impossible to talk about this editorial without mentioning the color scheme. As its name suggests, it is unabashedly bright. Yet, it does not go overboard, and instead through contrast and balance the series evokes an effortless elegance.
