Spontaneously Youthful Photography

These Youth Portraits Tell One Part of an Ongoing Narrative

Seoul-based photographer Jinveun seeks to tell stories with her youth portraits, which are currently featured on C-Heads.

An undergraduate student majoring in fine art, Jinveun has talent beyond her years. Shooting with a Nikon FM2 film camera -- she prefers the vintage look -- Jinveun attempts to capture the feelings of her subjects at that very moment. Even so, the pictures end up having a slightly dreamy, mysterious air to them, possibly because the "feeling" that Jinveun is capturing is free from context.

To make her photographs as natural as possible, Jinveun prefers to shoot outside, with little to no planning done beforehand. Jineveun admits that she will often put an idea into action the second it pops into her head, giving each image a very spontaneous vibe.
