'You Better Not Play With the Earth' Seems Inspired by the Story of Atlas

The myth of Atlas stories the events that led this titan to become the pillar of Earth, punished to carry the weight of the world because he sided with his brother to war against Zeus; the photo series titled You Better Not Play With the Earth seems inspired by this story. It captures a beautiful woman who bears the Earth on her shoulders, but instead of this being a chore, she appears to be revelling in it.

Shot by Germany-based photographer Klaus Kampert, the You Better Not Play With the Earth photo series diverges from his typically stark shoots in that there is color, and vibrant color at that. Nevertheless, it features a model who is quite nude, something that all of Kampert's photo shoots tend to do.
