The X-Lite Still Bottle from Sidel Has a Cost-Effective Design

The X-Lite Still water bottle has been unveiled by packaging company Sidel as a new option for beverage producers that will offer them a more sustainable and cost-effective design to choose for still water.

The bottle weighs in a 6.5 grams which means it contains about half as much PET resin as traditional water packaging to save a large amount of materials in the manufacturing process. The bottle is also reported to save mass amounts of energy and reduce the amount of CO2 entering the atmosphere. This is reported to translate to two million euros in savings for bottled water producers each year for an overall leaner bottom line and a better environmental profile.
