Mark Cuyos's Blog Consists of Unusual Word Translations in Gif Format

This tumblr account demonstrates word translations in gif form. Based out of Cebu, Mark Cuyos focuses on untranslatable words from around the world that do not have a direct English translation. The artist started Wordstruck as a project to showcase words that sound nice or unusual in addition to "words we’ve felt or experienced, something we came to pass by everyday that we never been able to name, or something we never thought there exist words for them."

The word translations include kawa akari or river light in Japanese, which means the last light of a sunset reflected on a river, or the glow of a river in darkness. The gif for this translation shows light twinkling on the water's surface as dusk approaches.
