Towering Log Cabins

Phillip Weidner's Wooden Abode is an Eclectic Stacking of Different Rooms

Phillip Weidner's wooden abode located in Alaska takes the concept of a log cabin to new heights in a design that stacks dozens of different rooms overtop one another to create a tower. The home is an amalgamation of several different abodes placed one over that are linked through staircases and ladders. The home is built high above the tree line to offer guests a 360-degree view of the surrounding forrest area.

The original log cabin began as a one level home, and quickly grew into a tower of stacked levels and separate abodes. Each level of the home offers a different architectural design while using the raw materials of wood as a foundation for the space. Photo Credits: designboom, triallawyersofalaska
