IKEA Now Offers Quirky Figures That Can Be Printed at Home

In collaboration with Belgian fashion designer Walter van Beirendonck, IKEA is now helping people to infuse their homes with a bit of whimsy from 'Wondermooi.'

The Wondermooi characters were dreamed up by Van Beirendonck as fantastical mixes of shapes, colors and textures. Now, fun characters like 1000G, Kwade Tiger and Vliegmachien can been transformed into a tangible collection of printable figurines that can be downloaded for free from IKEA.

These 3D-printed Wondermooi figurines are part of the limited-edition GLÖDANDE collection from IKEA, which also includes other decorative items for the home such as stationary, fabrics, pillows and rugs. Just as IKEA has done in this instance, offering 3D printables for free has become a popular way for brands to draw attention to a new offering.
