Luminously Sculptural Furniture

The Wolfsonian Museum Lamp by NC-office Emits a Soft Warm Glow

The Wolfsonian Museum Lamp might be a light fixture, but it looks more like a sculpture due to its stunningly abstract design. Shaped like a simple rectangular shelf, which it can actually be used as, one of its interior sides boasts an organic topographical surface from which the light emits. Beautiful and mesmerizing, the Wolfsonian Museum Lamp emits a soft, warm glow that gives whatever is being displayed a magical appeal.

Designed by NC-office, an architectural firm based in Miami, Florida, the Wolfsonian Museum Lamp was inspired by Renato Giusseppe Bertelli’s Testa di Mussolini. Made predominantly out of wood and resin, it makes use of a thirty foot LED strip for light. According to Plus Mood, "Ultimately an allegorical symbolism organizes the concept into a cohesive whole." That is the story of Pinocchio.
