Winde Rienstra Uses Wood and String to Make a Modern Statement

The 2011 Amsterdam International Fashion Week displayed a unique collection by Winde Rienstra. The collection which is heavily inspired by nature references and uses objects like string and wood. But at the same time, it is also inspired by modern and futuristic lines and geometric shapes. This oddly contrasted collection creates a fusion of modern and nature to create this beautifully ethereal line of clothes.

There is something to say about white clothes and the purity and simplicity it possesses. The designer chose well in displaying the unique designs and shapes with a simple base, and the collection as a whole refrained from being costume-y and over-the-top. I imagine wearing outfits similar to this in the future, and if that is the case -- I surely look forward to it.
