Rapid Grocery Deliveries

Whole Foods Grocery Delivery is Now Handled Through Amazon Prime

Whole Foods grocery delivery will now be handled by Amazon Prime. Since Amazon's acquisition of the grocery chain, the lines between the two brands are starting to blur. This latest innovation will begin in early February 2018 and will start its roll out to Amazon Prime members in Virginia Beach, Cincinnati, Dallas and Austin. The delivery service promises one- or two-hour delivery and can be done on the Amazon Prime website or through the mobile app.

Prior to this announcement, Amazon was Whole Foods' private-label 365 brand products on its website, but now the online conglomerate will be selling almost all products sold at Whole Foods. Whole Foods' grocery delivery service on Amazon Prime currently carries an extensive collection of items, with 125 items in the dairy alternatives section alone. Meat, produce, dairy, bakery items, dry goods and prepared foods can all be ordered through the service, with delivery being free for orders over $35—anything under that amount will add an additional $4.99 and $7.99 charge for one-hour delivery.
