Riccardo Tisci Celebrates Sex Pistols' Song, Who Killed Bambi?

Luxury fashion house Burberry unveils a captivating design for the Spring/Summer 2019 season in the form of the 'WHY DID THEY KILL BAMBI?' shirt inspired by the iconic 1979 song by Sex Pistols, 'Who Killed Bambi?' Designer Ricardo Tisci draws historic references with the influence, noting that the tune was also co-written by designer Vivienne Westwood, who followed the journey by working with Tisci at Burberry.

The graphic print also functions as a statement, marking the concept that Burberry is embarking on its fur-free production on future collections. The top is a short-sleeve silhouette constructed from cotton twill and has a half zipper at the front held with leather hardware. The structure is boxy, with two images of the porcelain deer to round it all out.
